4-3-3 Liverpool predicted lineup vs Wolves- The 4th Official

Liverpool host Wolverhampton Wanderers at Anfield this Saturday afternoon as they look to bounce back with a positive performance at home. The Reds’ 4-1 loss to Napoli in midweek was a wake-up call for the Merseyside club.

Jurgen Klopp will go for a 4-3-3 again and is expected to make some changes to his starting XI for this game. Darwin Nunes and Joel Matip are both expected to feature upfront in this Premier League fixture against Bruno Lager’s side.

defense

Alisson Becker will play for the Reds after scoring 4 goals in the last game. Joel Matip could join Liverpool in central defense alongside Virgil Van Dijk. They both need to be at their best if they are to prevent Wolves from scoring this weekend.

Trent Alexander-Arnold will be at right-back, while Andrew Robertson is looking to make a relentless transition at left-back on the other side. They both need to defend their box well and try to create enticing opportunities in the attacking third.

Joe Gomez could be relegated to the bench after a horrific midweek performance against Napoli.

Midfielder

James Milner played a tough game at Napoli earlier this week and could be benched. So, Klopp could name a midfielder consisting of Thiago Alcantara, Fabinho and Xavi Elliott for Saturday’s game.

Both Thiago and Elliott have a responsibility to produce decent performances for their teammates in and out of the Wolves box.

Both Fabio Carvalho and Curtis Jones are major doubts in this game as they are still recovering from their respective injuries.

offensive

Mohamed Salah has been a disappointment lately and he’s eager to impress on the right wing. Luis Diaz, who scored Liverpool’s only goal against Napoli in midweek, will once again be Klopp’s main weapon on the left.

Darwin Nunes will have another chance to lead the Merseyside Giants into the attacking third. After a rocky start to his career at Anfield, the Uruguay international is desperate to put his name on the scoresheet.

Roberto Firmino will be available as an option on the bench and he could be available within 45 seconds if needed.
