Anthony Martial accuses Ole Gunnar Solskjaer of playing him when injured

Anthony Martial has revealed shocking details about his time at Manchester United.

In an interview with France Football, Martial explained how he broke the injury barrier for Solskjaer:

“I’ve been on the pitch a lot the last two seasons. People don’t know that I can’t step up for the four months after the Covid season. Solskjaer told me he needed me, so I played.

“If I’m not up to it, things get very complicated, given my game.”

“And I was criticized – the coach never bothered to tell the media. It was clear that I would end up suffering forever and when I came back it was over and I wasn’t playing anymore.

“I took it the wrong way. I felt like I was being unfair.”

“You are asked to sacrifice yourself for the team and you get fired behind your back.”

“It’s almost a betrayal for me. That’s all I hate. I can be blamed, but not wrong.

If the statements are to be believed, it’s not all good news for Solskjaer.

Martial has always been one of United’s most exciting players and to play him injured is simply embarrassing.

Fans are hoping the Frenchman can get back into shape under Eric Ten Hager and become a key player this season.

His ability to organize attacks in the offensive phase is invaluable in the Dutchman’s system.
