Manchester United winger Anthony has revealed he speaks to Cristiano Ronaldo regularly and has learned a lot from the five-time Ballon d’Or winner.
Speaking Club Media Exclusives Following Manchester United’s loss to Real Sociedad, Anthony hailed Ronaldo as the best player in the world and said he was delighted to have the opportunity to work with him.
“I’m here to help my teammates,” said the Brazilian.
“All players have enormous talent, regardless of age.”
Speaking of Ronaldo, the 22-year-old said: “Words cannot describe Cristiano, the best in the world.”
“I learned a lot from him in a few days. He has an extraordinary spirit and I take advantage of it every time I talk to him.
Anthony said Manchester United’s attack is very strong not only now but also has high hopes for the future.
The former Ajax star was asked about his unique and interesting style of play. “I’ve always done that,” he replied.
“It’s not just here, it’s all the teams I’ve played for. I’ve been doing it since I was a kid. I’ve always done it, it’s one of my characteristics.
He is committed to continuing to do so, incorporating his skills as he adapts to the way the Premier League and the Red Devils play.
Out of respect for Her Majesty, the weekend games have been postponed and Anthony hopes to take the opportunity to further integrate into his new club on the training ground and get along with his teammates.
