Chelsea players rated in derby win vs West Ham- The 4th Official

Chelsea hosted West Ham at Stamford Bridge earlier today as they search for a positive result in front of home fans in the London Derby. The Blues got off to a good start but failed to take the lead in the first half. They entered at halftime without a goal.

Mikhail Antonio finally broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute. However, Ben Chilwell equalized for Chelsea in the 76th minute before Kai Havertz completed the Blues’ 88th-minute comeback. West Ham were denied a late goal as Thomas Tuchel’s side won 2-1 in the derby.

Let’s take a look at how each Chelsea player performed against the Hammers.

GK: Edward Mendy – 6.5/10

The Senegalese keeper made several solid saves from the back and was enough to keep the opposition to one goal.

DC: Wesley Fofana – 6.5/10

He was consistent in the backcourt and was neat coming off the inside of halftime.

CB: Thiago Silva – 7.5/10

The Brazilian centre-back made two key interceptions from the back and finished the game with an assist to his name.

DC: Kalidukoulibaly – 7/10

He won several aerial duels and made solid clearances on the defensive side of the field.

CDM: Ruben Loftus-Cheek – 6.5/10

He provided decent protection for his teammates at times, but very little in the West Ham half.

MD: Reece James – 6.5/10

The English genius made several decent dribbles but lacked quality in the attacking third.

WC: Mateo Kovacic – 6/10

Kovacic struggled to gain footing and was substituted in the 71st minute.

Centimeters: Conor Gallagher – 6.5/10

He failed to take hold of the game and put in a strong performance which lasted 59 minutes.

GM: Mark Cucurella – 6/10

The Spaniard had some solid tackles but struggled to influence the game in the opposition half.

ST: Christian Pulisic – 6.5/10

He had some good moments in the match but didn’t do enough to score the goal.

ST: Raheem Sterling – 6.5/10

The British runner ran with the ball a few times but didn’t feel the goal today.


ST: Armando Broja – 6.5/10

He had some positive moments in the game.

Centimeters: Mason Hill – 6/10

Mount has added more energy to Chelsea’s midfield.

ST: Kai Havertz – 7.5/10

He came off the bench and eventually scored the winning goal in the 88th minute.

GM: Ben Chilwell – 7.5/10

Chilwell came on very lively, scoring the all-important equalizer in the 76th minute.

WC: Jorginho – N/A

The Italy international didn’t have enough time to influence the game.
