RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – The Virginia Department of Wildlife is bringing back the Elk Cam this season – and it’s now sound-activated.
According to the department, Cam Elk It runs from mid-August through November each year, which is the peak of the year for elk activity throughout the day.
This fall, the department is also offering free elk-watching tours in Grundy. The September tour starts at 6pm and will take place on the 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th. The October tour starts at 5pm and will take place on the 4th, 18th and 25th. registration can be found herespace is limited.
