Erik ten Hag decided James Garner was “not at the level to play every week” at Man United

Eric Ten Hager has decided to sell James Garner from Manchester United, according to a new report.

The sale of the 22-year-old has raised some eyebrows among United fans as many see him as a chance to break into the first team this season following his impressive performance in the Championship game at Nottingham Forest last season.

But according to sports“Ten Witches were the key voice in bringing out James Garner.

“He doesn’t think Ghana are at the level of playing on a weekly basis and United have decided to bank the money rather than loan the midfielder out with no guarantee that his value will rise.”

It seems a bit harsh for the head coach to pass such judgments on a player rarely seen in the game.

Early injuries saw Garner miss most of United’s pre-season.

This would have been the opportunity for the man from Birkenhead to convince the manager that he was ready to take the plunge.

Ultimately, a permanent move to Everton was agreed for an initial fee of £9m.

Whitwell said: “There is some debate about raising the fee to £15.5m but given United’s past sales some sources believe the profit is fair.”

Others, however, wondered why there was no deal with Nottingham Forest or Tottenham if the player was to be sold, It is said Be prepared to pay him more than that.

There’s also the question of why a buyout clause wasn’t included in the deal with Everton.

Garner could make his Everton debut this lunchtime in one of the Toffees’ biggest games of the season, the Merseyside derby at Goodison Park.
