Erik ten Hag prefers Marcus Rashford in the striker’s role

With the exception of Cristiano Ronaldo and David de Gea, every Manchester United player had a memorable season last time out.

The three managers were in charge of the club for varying lengths of time, but failed to make a difference as the club found themselves in a disappointing sixth place.

Interim manager Ralf Rangnick broke a number of unpopular records by suggesting the club needed up to 10 players to be competitive again.

Eric Ten Haag’s reign has seen six new players join the club so far, while United have lost their first two games before embarking on a four-game Premier League winning streak.

One of the biggest successes of the season so far has been the re-emergence Marcus Rashford is a force to be reckoned with.

Rashford is a striker for ETH

In his last four games as a striker, the Manchester man has scored three goals and two assists, compared to just five goals and two assists all season last season.

and Sun It has now been sensationally claimed that Ten Hag is a big fan of the new Rashford and that ‘Manchester United players think Rashford would be better up front – with Cristiano Ronaldo on the bench’.

The Netherlands boss believes the 24-year-old has the ability to make the striker position his own and can become one of the best players in the world.

Such is their current relationship that the Manchester United boss has even admitted to helping the academy graduate return to the national team.

“The manager wants Marcus to be United’s No.1 striker and lead up front. He believes in Marcus’ ability to be one of the best players in the world and wants him to express himself in the game.

“When he had the chance, he always told him to use his speed and skills. He told Marcus that he would easily score 20 points this season. They had a great relationship and Marcus was really happy,” mentioned the item.

The enigma of Ronaldo

When it comes to the Ronaldo conundrum, most players feel compelled to play alongside him due to his constant demands for the ball, while others feel like they are just spectators. the main attraction.

The Portuguese wasn’t fully basking in glory by missing out on pre-season. According to his teammates, his style did not match the expectations of the new coach for the team.

“Ronaldo was there and the pressure was on the team. When Ronaldo came back, all the players loved it, but they were frustrated that he missed pre-season.

“Cristiano Ronaldo can’t keep up with speed and relies on his intuition – but that doesn’t work in a ten-hag system.”

United’s current No.7 has started just two games, both of which ended in defeat. He has not yet opened an account for the season.
