Chisholm, 48, is known to be private, with little information known about the relationship and few pictures of the couple together.
The mixed-race family are believed to live in north London, raising Chisholm’s 13-year-old daughters Scarlett and Marshall’s two children, The Sun reported.
Scarlett, Chisholm’s daughter, lives with her ex-partner Thomas Starr.
The couple split in 2012 after dating for ten years.
“Mel has had a very busy career between book deals, DJ work and other projects,” a music industry source told The Sun.
“She has some free time to spend with her daughter Scarlett, and that doesn’t leave much time for romance.”
The source said the breakup was “amicable” and that the Spice Girl “isn’t afraid to be single if she thinks it’s better.”
Chisholm has been busy touring the UK regularly with her Melanie C.
In addition to the music tour, the 48-year-old will embark on a book tour next month for her memoir Who I Am: My Story.
Prior to Starr, the singer briefly dated vocalist Robbie Williams, former quintet star Jason “J” Brown and Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis.
girls go to australia
She recently shared that the Spice Girls are planning to return to Australia for an international tour.
It comes 22 years after the girl group split in 2000 – when it was announced they would be on ‘indefinite hiatus’.
The band reunited for a UK and Ireland tour in 2019 – minus Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham – and fans in Australia were upset.
Speaking on the Celebrity Search Engine podcast about the Spice Girls tour, Chisholm said: “I can’t speak for everyone, but if it’s up to me, we’ll do it sooner.”
“The success of the 2019 show and how much we loved it, we had to do it,” she said.
“If we don’t, I will be very, very angry.”
The Spice Girls revamped for the London 2012 Olympics closing ceremony and performed a series of hits that Chisholm described as a “magical evening”.
