The man’s family have pleaded with the public to come forward and help police bring the culprits to justice.

A statement released by the family said: “On June 23, 2022, our loving and caring husband/father, a 62-year-old Sikh priest cowardly committed this heinous crime by a thug. His life was tragically changed forever when he acted, leaving him in a pool of blood, causing catastrophic and permanent brain damage, and then walking away as normal behavior.

“A devoted husband and father who has lived, worked and supported a community in a city he has loved for 37 years, can’t even leave the hospital now. He works long hours every day to help his children live a life he never had and ensure that we grow up to help and inspire future generations, producing a teacher, a pharmacist and a future doctor.

“A Sikh priest was abandoned on the busy streets of Manchester, the path he took every day to get home, as people watched. He was unknowingly and violently attacked, while the sick, the cowards were still the.

“We’ve read some terrible things on the news, but we never thought this would happen to you, someone who can’t say a single hateful or negative comment, who teaches those around you to be kind with yourself.

“We lost the life of the party, all light in the darkness of our lives, and the laughter and joy he brought home every day disappeared, leaving our hearts empty. Unfortunately, we will never let that day come back. The man who leaves work and thinks he will walk home to enjoy the good weather.

“We are calling on anyone who knows anything or knows the culprits to come forward, it has been over two months since the incident and we are no closer to finding them and bringing their actions to justice. Our husband/father is in a hospital bed He was seriously injured and he didn’t know what the future held for him.

“Please, please don’t act out of hate today, but stop this happening to anyone else and tear another family apart because we don’t want this pain to happen. to someone else.”
