RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb was held Saturday in Richmond, where hundreds of attendees had the opportunity to commemorate the September 11, 2001, firefight in response to the World Trade Center.
The event took place at City Stadium on Saturday, September 10 at 9:00 a.m. and attracted around 350 attendees of all ages, including the Richmond Fire and EMS.
Attendees must pay their respects to New York City Fire Department member who died on September 11, 2001 climb seven towers Walk through the stands of the stadium, equivalent to the 110th floor of the World Trade Center.
Each participant also received a Mission BBQ t-shirt and lunch.
All ticket proceeds from the event will go to the Metro Richmond Flying Squad.
