Marcus Rashford can reinvent himself as the new Manchester United striker

From bottom of the Premier League table to fifth place, a lot has happened in the past two weeks for United to change their fortunes.

This is largely thanks to the tactical and personal changes that Eric Ten Haag has made. A defensive reshuffle and changes to frontcourt players have now resulted in three straight wins and two clean sheets.

Rafael Varane and Tyrell Marasia, who were selected in the starting lineup, undoubtedly made it difficult for those on the bench to get back into the starting lineup.

In the lead, the duo Marcus Rashford and Marcus Rashford Jadon Sancho has directly contributed three goals in four of the three games since the Brentford humiliation.

reckless new attacker

While Rashford has never really impressed as a sole striker, he has helped United’s changing fortunes this season with his work-rate and intensity.

There’s still room for improvement, but the England international is still stronger on the left, as evidenced by his winning goal against rivals Liverpool.

Southampton managed to stifle him by rendering him unable to serve, but his movement off the ball allowed Bruno Fernandes to find himself free in the box to score.

It was his clever assist that saw Sancho score the only goal against Leicester City after some good interaction between the players up front.

“I believe they can do it and now they have to have that belief too and when they bring that belief to the pitch you will see what kind of impact they can have. I’m really happy that they scored two goals because hopefully it will give them a boost to work hard.

“They help with defending and pressing, but they also help with creativity, creating chances and finishing – that’s what they’re really good at.” That’s pretty much when they believe that, they will,” the manager said ahead of the Saints clash.

Rashi’s New Challenge

“It’s hard to describe Rashford as a striker without the use of caveats, asterisks and a few footnotes,” Karl Anka said on sports About the Manchus.

Statistics support this theory sports keep mentioning. “Since his debut in 2016, he has made 208 Premier League appearances, including 77 as a Manchester United centre-forward.

It shows how the four permanent managers view Rashford as a winger rather than a striker. But given Anthony Martial’s vulnerability and Cristiano Ronaldo’s ageing, Ten Hager believes Rashford can reinvent himself for the team.

Anthony’s arrival means he will be a long-term right winger, which means Sancho is likely to play on the left flank where Rashford usually excels.

The 24-year-old looks ready for the challenge.

“Rashford is a valuable second option at Manchester United, up front or away, as long as he continues to strengthen. It’s up to him.
