More than 400 participate in World’s Largest Cake Walk – Brospar Daily News

MOORHEAD, Minn. (KVRR) – The people of Moorehead have made history by setting a new record for the world’s largest cake walk.

Around the Bluestem Amphitheater, everyone was a winner by winning a free Bundt cake for their participation.

The game is sponsored by KFGO, and like musical chairs, everyone will stand on a number. People form a big circle, and when the music stops, people stand on the number closest to them.

Officials draw a number, and whoever stands on that number will receive one year of free cake from Nothing Bundt Cake.

It’s one of many Greater Moorhead Days events next Saturday, September 17th.

“It was on Y94 and Ella was so excited she had never done a cake walk before, and neither had I. We wanted to get into the Guinness Book of World Records and see the biggest…right? cool? We’re for the Excited cake. It’s really cool to see all kinds of different people, all kinds of families, and Fargo-Moorhead is a great community that you can see today,” said teacher Andrea Fox. at West Fargo High School.

Even Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus showed up and the kids took pictures with them.

Officials weren’t sure how many people were expected to take part in the Guinness Book of World Records, but they said more than 430 made it.
