West Ham hosted FCSB at the London Stadium earlier in the evening as they looked for a strong home result in the UEFA Europa League. The Hammers started slowly and conceded their first goal in the 34th minute when Andrei Cordea found the back of the net for FCSB. David Moyes’ men failed to respond and trailed 1-0 at half-time.
West Ham eventually equalized in the 69th minute, with Jarrod Bowen scoring a penalty. With just five minutes remaining, Emerson Palmieri made the comeback with a fine goal before Mikhail Antonio’s 90th-minute score secured victory. The match ended in an impressive 3-1 victory for the Hammers in front of the home fans.
Let’s take a look at how each of West Ham’s players fared against FCSB.
GK: Alphonse Areola – 6.5/10
He made some important saves from the back but was unable to keep a clean sheet tonight.
DR: Vladimir Kufar – 6/10
Kufar’s bottom line is generally strong and he is also very good looking forward. However, he lacks quality in the attacking third.
CB: Thilo Kehrer – 6.5/10
The German genius played a dominant role on the defensive part of the field.
DC: Angelo Obona – 7/10
He did what he was told to do in the backcourt and did enough to prevent his opponents from scoring more than once.
GM: Emerson Palmieri – 6.5/10
Emerson erred before FCSB’s first goal. He recovered well, however, scoring a decent goal to restore West Ham’s lead.
WC: Flynn Downs – 7/10
He moved the ball very well and made great runs with it.
Centimeters: Declan Rice – 6.5/10
The England sensation anchors the midfield well and provides his side with the platform to secure victory.
WC: Manuel Lanzini – 6/10
He showed his ability but didn’t do enough tonight to score.
AD: Say Ben Rahma – 5/10
Ben Rahma remained silent for most of the half and was substituted at halftime.
ST: Gianluca Scamaka – 5/10
He struggled to get into the rhythm of the game and only lasted 45 minutes.
Left: Maxwell Cornett – 6.5/10
Cornet won the penalty which Bowen converted into a West Ham equaliser. He is a real threat in the attacking third.
ST: Michael Antonio – 7.5/10
He had an immediate impact off the bench and helped the Hammers turn things around in this game. Antonio scored a late goal.
CAM: Lucas Paqueta – 6.5/10
Paqueta passes the ball into the opposing half.

After coming off the bench, he scored the all-important equalizer for West Ham.
